"Once we got the Amiga, creating music meant starting from scratch and experimenting on our own. At that time our technical skills were so lacking that we recorded our first song using a video camera pointed at the screen speakers. Later, with the addition of a microphone, cassette recording became an easier process. Eventually we discovered the direct transfer of sound to a cassette recorder via RCA cables. At some point, tracker programs entered the scene, enabling easy and systematic serial production. However, with samples and patterns, the music became repetitive, dull and clinical. The purchase of a true analog synthesizer, the Roland SH-101, marked a turning point in our musical journey, taking us in a more unpredictable and intriguing direction. Over time, Janne's homemade electronic circuits became an integral part of our setup. As these circuits evolved into larger synthesizers, we gradually abandoned computers and factory-made equipment.
