Last copies of this 1985 release. Edition RZ, the legendary German contemporary/electronic music label founded by Robert Zank, which has presented numerous experimental works by John Cage, David Tudor, and Iannis Xenakis, released the first of the Invention series album in 1985. The LP comprises three compositions by the following artists: Takehito Shimazu, a Japanese composer who taught alongside Korean contemporary musician Isang Yun at the Berlin Art School; Boguslav Schaeffer, a Polish composer active since the 1960s; and Rolf Enstrom, a Swedish composer and graduate of the Stockholm  Electronic Music Studio (EMS). Extremely intense experimental and cosmic electronic music in the form of musique concrète is present in all three recordings. Nonetheless, the pinnacle is quite possibly 'Zytoplasma' by Takehito Shimazu, which produces an exceptionally invigorating experience by generating a weightless state through the dispersion of electronic noises amidst silence. The sensation is comparable to being enveloped in a stream of faint electronic noises.
