Letzte Tage, Letzte Nächte (1976) finds Popol Vuh at their most rock-textured, Daniel Fichelscher's guitar and drums pushing harder while Renate Knaup, also of Amon Düül II, takes the vocals. It is less hushed than the devotional albums around it, more earthbound, though Florian Fricke's sensibility still presides over everything.
This is the later SPV CD reissue, a practical way to hear a record long scarce on vinyl.
