The Messa Alleluia was Marcello Giombini's first liturgical mass, sung at midnight on Christmas 1968 in the Basilica of San Pietro in Assisi before 1,500 young people and a bishop, and it is the record that took beat music officially into the Italian rite. Voices, organ (Giombini himself), two electric guitars, bass, drums; texts by Gino Stefani; Dall'alto dei cieli, Gloria, Santo, La messa è finita.

Two editions exist: an April 1969 version by the all-male Gli Alleluia, and this December 1969 recording by the mixed Clan Alleluia, orange sleeve with blue lettering. It sold in the tens of thousands, and several of its songs are still sung in Italian churches. Original pressing, pink label.
