Marcello Giombini
I Semi Del Futuro (LP)
1974 album on the Christian PCC label with chants for catechism and baptism for voices accompnied by organ or Arp synthesizer by the very eclectic and experimental composer.
condition (record/cover): M / M
By the mid-seventies Marcello Giombini had discovered synthesizers, and I semi del futuro ("The Seeds of the Future") is where the beat mass meets the Moog: sacred songs with electronic arrangements, sequencers and string machines under the voices, the Assisi catalogue's entry into the cosmic. The same instinct produced his secular Computer Disco records a few years later.
Original PCC pressing, CS series. For the "catto-prog" collector and for anyone tracing Italian synth music into its unlikeliest corner.
