The Pro Civitate Christiana of Assisi was a lay Catholic cultural centre founded in 1939 by Don Giovanni Rossi, and in the years after the Second Vatican Council it ran its own record label, commissioning liturgical music in the vernacular from composers who were as likely to come from the film studios as from the choir loft. Mario Piatti's Signore ti cerchiamo ("Lord, We Seek You") is one of the later releases, a set of songs for the assembly with guitars and small ensemble, in the post-conciliar folk-mass manner.
PCC records were sold through parishes and Catholic bookshops and are now scarce; this is an original, CS series.
