Subtitled The Lessons. Episode 6 of the seven-part Perfect Lives: thirty short lessons in which the narrator-pianist Buddy ("the world's greatest piano player," voiced by Tyranny) holds forth on memory, reincarnation and Giordano Bruno. The "Coo Coo" of the title is Campo de' Fiori, where Bruno was burned in 1600.

Peter Gordon of the Love of Life Orchestra co-produced and folded vocoders, synthesised horns and a near-Motown beat under Ashley's incantations. "Blue" Gene Tyranny plays Polymoog, organ and prepared-piano boogie figures. David Van Tieghem drums; Jill Kroesen and video director John Sanborn sing backup. Bob Ludwig mastered. Released three years before the Perfect Lives broadcast, this was the only sustained-listen preview of the opera available at the time.
