A later Sigillum S EP on the American Diophantine Discs imprint, belonging to the project's ongoing continuation through the 2000s and 2010s after the core trio (Eraldo Bernocchi, Paolo Bandera, Luca Di Giorgio) reassembled for new work following a long period of individual activity across multiple projects (Bernocchi with Sigillum S and the ambient band Oktopus, Bandera with Sshe Retina Stimulants, Di Giorgio with various solo ventures).

The title splits the record between its two conceptual poles: "organic skyscrapers" (the biomorphic architecture of contemporary cities, filtered through the group's long-standing interest in J.G. Ballard's concrete-island imagination and David Cronenberg's body-architecture cinema) and "occult wastelands" (the ritual-magical topography Sigillum S has returned to across four decades). The two halves of the 10" EP elaborate the premise with the trio's mature method: treated electronics, long-form drone, processed vocal, and the austere structural logic that distinguishes Sigillum S from most of the post-industrial projects that have emerged in their wake.

Diophantine Discs, operating out of the American West Coast, has made Sigillum S one of the few Italian industrial projects they have continued to support across multiple releases, which places this 10" on a slightly different distribution axis than the traditional Minus Habens / Old Europa Cafe Italian network. A continuation artifact for collectors already following the Sigillum S arc, and a first point of contact for anyone coming to the project fresh.
