Pneumatic Tubes

Pneumatic Tubes presents Runner’s High, a dazzling double album of ambient, psychedelic, and American Kosmische music, crafted by acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Jesse Chandler (keyboard and woodwinds player for Midlake and Mercury Rev). This latest solo release takes listeners on a radiant journey—melding the magic of running with Chandler’s transportive soundscapes.

Runner’s High fuses rhythmic vitality with meditative atmospheres, inspired by Chandler’s personal running rituals and his late father’s jogging journals. More than a musical experience, the album transforms the sensations of the ‘runner’s high’—that unique state where effort disappears and the body and soul move in blissful harmony—into immersive, evocative compositions.

The result is a thoughtfully optimistic release, filled with shimmering flutes, warm clarinets, vibrant synths, and exploratory grooves. From the opening "Tree Tunnel" to the enchanting "Yellow Green and Gold", each track invites the listener to experience the euphoria and serenity of movement through magical landscapes.
