Reissue on double LP of 1996, Ryuichi Sakamoto's piano trio album revisiting his film themes, from Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence to The Sheltering Sky.
In 1996 Ryuichi Sakamoto went back to some of his best known music and rewrote it for piano trio, with David Nadien on violin and Jaques Morelenbaum on cello. The film themes are all there, Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, The Last Emperor, The Sheltering Sky, High Heels, Little Buddha, alongside Rain, Bibo No Aozora, 1919 and M.A.Y. In The Backyard, all reduced to the intimacy of a chamber setting.
Reissue on double LP, 16 tracks over four sides.
