*Limited edition of 500 units.* Quartet Records is proud to celebrate the centenary of one of the most iconic, elegant and individual voices of Italian cinema for more than four decades: the one and only Piero Piccioni. Shake And Soda is a super-groovy journey to the maestro’s lounge-music side, always fresh, classy, risky and surprising in its form and development. From soft to free jazz, from shake to bossa, from calypso to bebop, from swing to reggae… Selections from some of his most famous and beloved film scores Le Streghe, Scacco Alla Regina, Cadaveri Eccelenti, Colpo Rovente, La Decima Vittima, Bora Bora, Camille 2000, Playgirl 70, Tutto a Posto E Niente in Ordine , as well as some of his celebrated collaborations with Alberto Sordi in Fumo Di Londra, Le Coppie, Amore Mio Aiutami, and such rarities as his scores for the European versions of After The Fox and Le Mepris —are included in this exclusive 2-LP set pressed in 180 GM audiophile black vinyl. The luxurious artwork designed by Luca Barcellona is presented in a gatefold jacket with a selection of rare posters and liner notes by Claudio Fuiano. The album has been specially mastered for vinyl by Chris Malone.

This essential album of easy listening and innovative sound gives us the opportunity to enjoy the richness and timelessness of Piero Piccioni’s comprehensive genius.
