The Sound Series is a zine collection that introduces musicians with distinctive aesthetics and narratives who are not widely known. The third issue documents the life journey of Ikue Mori, who began as the drummer of DNA, a central band in New York's No Wave scene of the 1980s, and later became a pioneering computer musician. It traces her move from Tokyo to New York, her encounter with John Zorn of Tzadik Records, and her experiments in electronic and computer-based music.
Zine, 20 pages, 148 x 210 mm, text in Korean and English. Edited and designed by Ganghyeon Paeg. Published by Ningen Paper Press, Seoul, September 2024.
