Tip! Spartiti Spariti is a composition in which diverse practices and experiences converge and overlap: the processing of ‘concrete’ sounds, magnetic-tape collage, field recording and the manipulation of acoustic instruments. At its core lies a profound investigation into the ecology of sound, understood not as mere phenomenological documentation but as a radical experience through which identity is rediscovered. The work’s genesis is deeply rooted in the composer’s biographical memory and in the affective geographies of childhood, revisited in adulthood. These places educated his ear long before shaping his thought, acting as pre-rational matrices of perception.
The work unfolds through the interaction and transfiguration of acoustic and symbolic polarities. Through editing and sound manipulation, the geographical and conceptual distance between past and present dissolves: sounds separated in space and time are treated as though they had been captured in a single, impossible live recording. The cave, the pipe organ and the instruments merge into a single, continuous acoustic space. The result is a metaphysical and paradoxical territory, a sound field in which memory and perception blur. In Spartiti Spariti, the composer renounces the fixity of narrative, dissolving into pure resonance born of the friction between memory and the sonic phenomenon.
