*218 copies limited edition* An LP split between old friends of the weirdo American Underground converges on this 180 gram slab of adventurous out-sounds blurring the boundaries of genre. The duo of Max Nordile and Justin Clifford Rhody deliver high energy bursts of noisy free jazz and a live, slow-burning piece (titled Semi-Rural) that rings reminiscent of Lol Coxhill and Loren Connors carrying out a ritual invocation far from the red carpets of Hollywood. Prior to this album the duo had only released an ultra-limited edition 5” record (which almost immediately sold out), and only performed live as a duo at a handful of gigs at the former underground arts warehouse No Name Cinema in Northern New Mexico. But a West Coast tour for May 2027 is now in the works! Max Nordile is based in Olympia WA, also performs in Debt Rag, and formerly played in Preening and Violence Creeps. Justin Clifford Rhody is based in Santa Fe NM, also performs in K/S/R and Discretion, and formerly played in (D)(B)(H), Dysmal Abyss, and Hepatitis Youth.

On the flipside, Arizona’s Gabriella Isaac and Erin Allen bring the sounds of Mayonesa to course listeners through a body music akin to Suicide dropping the attitude and fully assimilating into the groove. While Mayonesa’s whole side is recorded live without overdubs, a peak is reached with the final cut pulled from MiniDV camcorder footage laying in-the-red like a lost skirmish between Merzbow and Mats Gustaffson. Gabriella Isaac has released multiple LP’s as a noise duo with Gilgongo Records’ James Fella, and Erin Allen previously played in Bay Area punk bands Straight Crimes & High Castle.
