Three fantastic composition from the mid-1980's including the electronic sounding string quartet plus two beautiful electro-acoustic pieces for solo instrument, performed by the Arditti Quartet, Eberhard Blum and Frances-Marie Uitti and released by the Berliner Künstlerprogramm des DAAD in 1988 on LP only, never re-issued on either CD or LP.

condition (record/cover): NM / NM

Three pieces from 1985 by the Hungarian composer László Dubrovay. In the third string quartet the Arditti Quartet (Irvine Arditti, Alexander Balanescu, Levine Andrade and Rohan de Saram) produces sustained, shifting textures that often sound closer to electronic music than to the classical quartet. It was recorded in London in 1987.

The two solo pieces were recorded the same year at the Electronic Studio of the TU Berlin, the first for bass flute played by Eberhard Blum, the second for cello played by Frances-Marie Uitti, both electroacoustic. Issued on LP by the Berliner Künstlerprogramm des DAAD, with sleeve notes by Ingeborg Pfingsten.
