**2025 Stock** Infinite Fog Productions continues its series of deluxe reissues dedicated to the drone-ambient pioneers Maeror Tri.
At this point, there’s hardly any need to introduce this legendary trio once again. During their seven years of existence, they created genre-defining material that remains as powerful and relevant today as it was more than a quarter of a century ago. We are proud to present “The Beauty of Sadness” — one of the band’s most striking and emotionally charged albums. A deeply melancholic, melodic, and introspective drone-ambient masterpiece that stands alongside “Myein” as a cornerstone of the genre. You won’t find the industrial or noise elements that marked some of their heavier works — here, the very essence of beauty and sadness reigns supreme. This release comes highly recommended for any listener with even a passing interest in drone music, whether guitar- or synth-based.

Recorded between October 1991 and September 1993, The Beauty of Sadness became Maeror Tri’s 11th full-length cassette, originally released in 1996, just before the group’s breakup at the peak of their creative power. The bonus track “Immersion in Emotion” was recorded around the same sessions in October 1993 and first appeared on the video compilation “From the Hills of Dream.” Fifteen years have passed since the album’s only CD reissue on Tantric Harmonies, during which it became a true rarity — completely unavailable and highly sought-after by collectors. Our new edition of “The Beauty of Sadness” was fully remastered in 2019 by Peter Andersson (raison d’être), resulting in a remarkably enhanced sonic experience. The previously mis-inserted silent tracks from the earlier CD have been removed, and the surface noise eliminated. The artwork was newly created by Anton Bogdanov, award-winning artist from St. Petersburg and winner of the Hermitage competition, who also designed the previous reissues “Mind Reversal,” “Peak Experience,” and “Venenum.”
