In 1997 Lasse Marhaug and John Wiese arranged to record a split cassette for Norwegian label Komkol Autoprod. The music was recorded on June 6th at the exact same time on opposite side of the Atlantic, as a form of musical telepathy. They also agreed to base the recordings on continous loops. The recordings were made, but the cassette was never released and the material remained forgotten until Marhaug found and digitized the master in 2014. It was agreed to wait until the recording was exactly …
Mind-crushing 7LP box set housed in a deluxe book-like folder featuring the earliest recorded material from the legendary SPK, dating back to the late 70's and including some properly eye-opening material and combining all of their early works and the bands-history prior to Graeme Revell signing to Wea and to go a slightly different path and more commercial with the band's musical output.
SPK was an Australian industrial band formed in 1978 in Sydney by Graeme Revell and Neil Hill, being …

For ten years, Kazuma Kubota has been mastering his blend of harsh noise and ambient and Utsuroi is no exception. Originally released as a limited edition cassette in 2015 by Amethyst Sunset, Utsuroi has been remastered by Joe Panzner for optimum vinyl listening on this edition. The second side of the record featu…
"With his flagship project, The Rita, Sam McKinlay has, for nearly two decades, explored and distilled into sound various permutations of fetish and vice. He is recognized as the creator of Wall Noise (or Harsh Noise Walls/HNW), but that sound — massive and rich textural layers of relentless, monolithic fields of distortion — was nothing new, in and of itself. It was McKinlay's conceptual intent and the singular intensity of his focus that established it as something novel and profound. One reco…
Bob Bellerue is a New York based composer, sound activist and artist. His, to us, highly important releases “Brokelyn” (LP, Love Earth Music 2014) and “Damned Piano” (2xLP, Anarchymoon Recordings 2015) were quietly released and distributed but left a deep impact on everyone it reached. The iDEAL office were very happy to receive an offer to release more piano manipulations by mr Bellerue, further examples of one of the most interesting electro-acoustic noise artists active today. His acti…
In 1995 Marco Corbelli shaped an interesting side-project, Progetto Morte, in collaboration with Walter Piano. The outcome of these twisted minds was a tape with the same title of the project recorded at Corbelli's home on June 10, 1995 and released the same year on Slaughter Productions with a booklet with the lyrics of the seven tracks, wrote by Walter Piano in Italian, and with the first Progetto Morte proclamation (translated in English too) revealing the nihilistic concept of this new alli…
Marco Corbelli's artistic journey began in the early 90's. Under the pseudonym of Marco Rotula, he started to release a series of fanzines in A5 format. The first was "The pleasure agony", followed by "Sick" and "Murders". The aesthetics of these first fanzines were very sophisticated and the content deals with topics that will follow Marco Corbelli throughout his artistic career: sadism, schizophrenia, insanity, murder, psychosis, necrophilia, diseases, and most importantly death. In 1993, heav…

An epic 1984 masterpiece from Masami at the peak of his creativity. & CD set plenty of hectic and lumbering rhythms, weird vocal warble, frantic noise, fucked up grooves, spooky synth ambience, droning chant ranging from silly to sublime, musique concrete, and echoing psych weirdness. Jojo Hiroshige - known and feared throughout the world not only as a member of the legendary ‘‘Hijokaidan,’’ often referred as ‘‘King of Noise,’’ but also as the owner of the prestigious label “Alchemy Records,” which has released countless “Japanoise” masterpieces.
