Another classic album reissued by Phage Tapes and R.O.N.F. Records. An early work of Maurizio Bianchi recorded at Mectpyo Studio in 1981 and originally released by Banned Productions (US) back in 1992 as a vinyl LP. CD packaged in beautiful 5 colour screen printed arigato packs. 2 tracks totalling. 50 minutes in length. Limited edition of 300 copies. As with any early 80’s Bianchi this comes highly recommended.

Ap'strophe is the duo of Ferran Fages (acoustic guitar) and Dimitra Lazaridou Chatzigoga (zither). Recorded by Christian Pallejà at Maik Maier studios in Barcelona, december 2008. Mixed and mastered by Ferran Conangla. With their music they investigate the perception of the distinctive timbre of the guitar and the zither alongside the differences and similarities of their string instruments.

Typically I think noisecore is best in small blasts, but for those who can't find or play the records, this collection is still pretty terse, don't worry.

Alongside NY percussion improviser Sean Meehan, Tatsuya Nakatani's approach to percussion uses alternative methods of interacting with traditional percussive instruments. The latest from microsound pioneer and LINE boss Richard Chartier is a re-imagining of probably his best-known work, 2000s ‘Series’, which incidentally was the inaugural LINE release. Since 2011 Chartier has worked on revisiting elements of ‘Series’ and reworking them into ‘Recurrence’, which was intended to be able to be performed in the live environment.
