Blackdance (1974) is Klaus Schulze loosening his grip. The synthesizers move to the front now, but he also reaches for guitar, percussion, and, on one piece, an operatic baritone, lending the cosmic drift a strange theatrical edge.
It marked his arrival on an international label and a wider listenership. Less austere than Irrlicht or Cyborg, it is often where newcomers are sent first. This is the Caroline issue.
