Companion volume to the last, this time instrumental: sitar, sarod, bansuri and tabla across a programme designed as a survey of the North Indian classical instruments. Arion's Italian editions were sold through the same channels as classical records and carried the same weight of explanatory notes, translated into an Italian that occasionally invents its own transliterations.
Approach it as a primer rather than as a document of a specific master, and it does its job well; the recordings are clean and the playing is professional. Italian edition, FARN series.
