Fifteen years on, Lee Noble's cult bedroom classic No Becoming returns to vinyl in a 2026 remaster on Primordial Void: eight ghostly lo-fi hymns of analog synth, harmonium and tape, poised between hauntology and New Weird America. Remastered by A.F. Jones, limited to 200 copies.

*200 copies limited edition* Fifteen years after it first surfaced on a limited cassette, Lee Noble's No Becoming returns to vinyl in a definitive 2026 remaster on Primordial Void. A Nashville-born, Minneapolis-based fixture of the American noise underground since the early 2010s, Noble recorded these eight tracks in a bedroom in Echo Park in 2010 – analog synthesizers, harmonium, Omnichord, guitars, drum machines and tape recorders committed to a Fostex DMT-8 and live-mixed to DAT – and in doing so caught himself mid-transformation, drifting from the drone work of his early years toward the quasi-psychedelic, avant-pop transmissions that would define what came next.

What emerged is a set of ghostly, lo-fi hymns that occupy the space between hauntology and New Weird America: '70s horror synth bleeding into alternate-dimension folk, melodies half-remembered and half-invented. From the flickering Cop Show through Paradise Life, Fantasy Hair and the closing Contempt for the Beach, the album has quietly accrued cult-classic status since its 2011 debut on Sweat Lodge Guru and its 2013 vinyl reissue on Bathetic Records.

"It feels to me like the full weight of emptiness," Graham Jonson of quickly, quickly has said, "the soundtrack to an alternate reality where you're the last person on earth and every breath is cold." Newly remastered by A.F. Jones at Laminal Audio in Washington and pressed in an edition of 200, No Becoming finally gives one of the era's most haunting bedroom records the vinyl it deserves.
