Amazing find, a few original copies available (still sealed) of the rarest, privately released, Raffaele Serra album - "Second LP from prolific experimental Italian artist Raffaele Serra with '89 release Ritual In Transfigured Time. This one's a real mish-mash of inspiration, drawing on his home country's rich history of avant-garde and minimalism whilst also nodding to the more dramatic synth themes a'la Tangerine Dream / Schultze as Richard Wahnfried and 4th world styles set out by Jon Hassel with a bit of industrial on the side. It's short blasts of introspective instrumental menace which don't really go anywhere, but that's also the point, yet it's perfectly sequenced and goes well nicely as a whole with the more mechanical, Alessandroni-style cyclical sketches perfectly offset with wistful, gauzy passages. Definitely one to experience instead of analysed." (All Night Flight)
Among the most obscure albums from the '80s Italian scene, finally entering the light of day.
