Two pieces from 2015, both made for light as much as for sound. In the first, Forsberg leaves the violin hanging on stage listening to itself while she plays only electronics, and the audience stays audible: bodies shifting, someone dropping something on the floor.

Limited LP. Two pieces by Marta Forsberg, both from 2015, both written for light and sound at once. LED and Love Sounds was her first sound-and-light piece, made from violin recordings frozen and processed into drones that change slowly and never repeat exactly. Forsberg describes it as a slow transition from playing her instrument to playing only her electronics, leaving the violin hanging on stage listening to itself. She also describes what stays audible underneath: the gallery moving in the background, the noises of shifting bodies, someone dropping something on the floor, an audience trying to keep still and sometimes falling briefly asleep. She says she likes hearing them.

Weave and Dream was composed on an OP-1 and belonged to an installation of LED strips, fabric and sequins. Forsberg booked the concert hall of her old music college, since demolished, and hung the lights until the constellations were right; the music came afterwards and follows their pulse and their upward movement. For the premiere she hung black curtains around the stage and worked the lights from behind them with Sylvain Devaux, so as to remove herself from view entirely. This version was mixed by Nikos Veliotis.
