Free piece of tape is an Athens-based duo of Giorgos Axiotis and Efthimis Theodosis that has been performing and producing amplified and electroacoustic music for the past eight years. “Two fields and a snowflake” is a rather peculiar approach to their usual sounds, since it consists of three totally acoustic improvised tracks, played and recorded live between March 2008 and April 2009 in three different locations in Athens; at a toilet, a living room and a 2nd floor balcony. Use of smaller instruments and domestic environments blends seamlessly with outside sounds as well as with naïf free-folk touches in a series of shifting dynamics.
