Ta Yu Ta I
"I listened to the demo recordings for the “Ta Yu Ta I” CD. The track begins with the sound of a stone, and, for a moment I doubted my ears, thinking that it was the iwafue stone flute that I had lost overseas in 2005. The flute actually used on this recording was a replica on an ancient flute, one of three that have been handed down within my family. But until that moment when I heard the sound of it echoing inside my skull, I had completely forgotten about it. It was my living flesh that breat…
2 Concerts from Beijing 2018
*2023 stock. 100 copies limited edition* "Few words about Anzi: somehow, for me, she tells the meaning of "new music". She has daily job now and for a while she was a house wife. She is not active as an artist. She is quiet and looks weak. We had some collaborations and from those she influenced me so strongly. The recording on this cassette is from miji concert 57. You can check the video from a link on subjam.org for understand more (of course not for Chinese language but other aspects)." - Ya…

Dead Dead Gang
Dead Dead Gang is a musical piece composed by drummer Peter Orins, inspired by the 2016 novel Jerusalem by British writer Alan Moore. The music is forged during a residency in 2022 with the Muzzix collective at La Malterie in Lille, and is nourished by the proposals and initiatives of Barbara Dang (piano), Maryline Pruvost (voice and Indian harmonium) and Gordon Pym (electronics and amplified objects).A true world-story, disproportionate and monumental in size and time, Alan Moore’s novel is an …
Settings For Spirituals / Solo

In Solo, Chadabe uses a computer-music system that determines the notes of a melody and its accompaniment chords. Chadabe performs the piece by moving his h…
In The Wilderness
In The Wilderness opens with textured drums, a muted bass, celestial sound, like stars breaking into puddles. Confident engineering and gentle instrumentation invite the audience to wander into the unknown. The project draws from an experimental performance by drummer Gerald Cleaver and bassist Brandon Lopez, at 577 Records’ Forward Festival, which was later deconstructed and rebuilt by hip-hop producer Hprizm of the Antipop Consortium. All three musicians were involved in visioning the project’…

MK/CT
MK/CT is the duo of Chris Dreier (Die Tödliche Doris) and Tim Löhde. Spree is the main river that flows through Berlin. It is not often that it gets cold enough for the river to freeze over but a few years ago, the ice lay solid. Chris Dreier recorded the sounds of the ice, the cracking and popping as the temperature changed, and sent the recordings to Tim Löhde. Löhde responded, and that was the beginning of the musical correspondence that defines MK/CT. Since then, Dreier and Löhde have sent s…
Post-Oblivion
*50 copies limited edition* September 2019, during a residency exchange programme curated by the Lijiang Studio, Chunyang Yao set foot in Shiraoi, a town in Hokkaido historically populated by Japan’s indigenous people, the Ainu. A peculiar sense of inversion struck her. Being a Naxi artist emerging from the southwestern city of Lijiang, Yao had become accustomed to performing under a certain exotic gaze in China. Yet, dipping into the arcane, almost bygone lifeworld of the Ainu, for the first ti…
Las Camelias, Tres Equinas

Slamadam
It's rare that an actual jazz date makes an appearance on the Random Acoustics label, so when one does rise up from the noisy improv ether, listeners are sure to pay attention. The Gerry Hemingway Quintet was an under-recorded unit chock-full of masterful players: Mark Dresser bass; Ernst Reijseger, cello; Michael Moore, saxophones and clarinet; Wolter Wierbos, trombone; and of course Hemingway, the man behind the kit. This disc is culled from a trio of performances from 1991 to 1993. While exce…

"This is a new release on the Italian label Superpang. I first met Giovanni Di Domenico, an Italian musician living in Brussels, 15 years ago. We hardly ever had the chance to play music together, and when I went to Europe just before Corona, I made this album based on a session recorded in his studio. After returning to Japan, I edited and dubbed in additional synths and strings. A fresh collaboration with an old friend, I hope you'll give it a listen! Big thanks to Tony for the great design an…
