CCMC in its trio line-up of Michael Snow, John Oswald and Paul Dutton: piano and synthesizer, alto saxophone and sound poetry, recorded live in Toronto, Jonquière and Victoriaville in 1996 and 1997.

Victo 40th Anniversary Super Sale. CCMC has passed through many phases over its twenty-year residency at Toronto's renowned Music Gallery, with eight recordings and tours of North America, Europe, and Japan. The band's latest incarnation, a trio whose three members have been described in The Toronto Star as "each an artistic powerhouse and pioneer in his own right" has original member Michael Snow (piano, synthesizer) flanked by alto sax wizard John Oswald and soundsinger Paul Dutton. Together they perpetuate the CCMC commitment to improvisatory exploration and innovation, with process taking precedence and form evolving organically in a shifting tapestry of textures and timbres.

"... a refreshing sense of denseness and vigor." "Mad stride, growl-howled vocals, and cascading sax lines...added to the sense of boldness."

Michael Rosenstein, Cadence
