2024 Stock. 300 copies limited edition. Japan release only. ** Felix Kubin began his musical career in the early 1980s as a twelve-year-old as part of the duo Die Egozentrischen 2, together with Stefan Mohr, who was one year younger. Since then, the Hamburg multi-talent, born Felix Knoth in 1969, has made a significant name for himself in the alternative German music scene both as a solo artist and in diverse formations such as Klangkrieg, Liedertafel Margot Honecker, CEL and many others, and runs his own label Gagarin Records. Musically, Kubin's activities range from early lo-fi electro experiments to futuristic noise to ambitious electro-pop and often far beyond - it never gets boring!
At the end of 2023, Felix Kubin and Stefan Mohr's early work "The Uprising of the Chemists" will be released, which in the early years was only circulated on self-made cassette copies and appeared on LP for the first time in 2005, in the form of an original Japanese CD pressing supplemented by the artist himself with a total of 19 songs (including five songs not included on the LP release) on Suezan Studio. All songs have been carefully digitally remastered, the CD comes in a “mini-LP sleeve” printed with fluorescent neon pink under UV light with a 20-page booklet including rare photos and in a limited edition of 300 copies!
At the same time, Felix Kubin's "the tetchy teenage tapes of felix kubin 1981-1985" will be released as an original Japanese CD release with 26 songs and - while stocks last exclusively with us and in the Japanese Suezan mail order - both titles as a package including a bonus 8cm CD with four more tracks!
