2024 Stock. 300 copies limited edition. Japan release only. ** The name of the duo Thorax-Wach, which was founded in 1980 together with Frank Dieckmann, comes from the context of the morgue in which Olaf Kraemer worked at the time. Between 1980 and 1981, with the help of two Korg M-20s and a microphone, a handful of MCs celebrated in the underground scene were created, as well as self-released vinyl records on their own label, Schnellschnitt, which the duo, which had since relocated from tranquil Göttingen to busy Berlin, produced at night while one worked in the legendary Zensor record store during the day. The titles, which were only produced in small editions at the time, are still sought after and highly priced collector's items today. Frank Dieckmann then moved into education, while Olaf Kraemer spent several years in the USA. He currently lives in Munich and works as a book and film author (including the Uschi Obermaier biography “High Times”, Tatort).
A good 40 years after the works were first published, Thorax-Wach's album “Barely Eracht – Schon Mode” will be released on June 30, 2023 with 14 tracks (including the songs from the “Huckepack Und Zu Hunden In Den Tod” 7″ from the same year Bonus) for the first time on CD from Suezan Studio.
