2024 Stock. Limited to 300 copies, Japan release only.** The new wave/experimental duo Reifenstahl was founded in 1979 by PA distributor and Croox member Gerd Gaida together with Matthias Rapp. In 1981, the debut album was released on Ink Records by Mike Schmidt, who was temporarily active with Reifenstahl alongside bandmate Michael Reinhardt. The band has been broken up and revived several times, the last sign of life so far is the second album “Rex”, released in 1986 on the Ink Records successor Der Producers Club. In addition to Reifenstahl, Ink Records also released Mike Schmidt's Croox and Don Bartnick. After Schmidt's sudden death in 1994, most of the label's releases were on hold for years without ever being repressed.

On May 27, 2022, the two Reifenstahl albums will be released as the second part of a four-part Ink Records retrospective as an original Japanese release, which will make the Düsseldorf scene duo's songs available on CD for the first time, sound-wise restored and remastered, with rare extra tracks and miniaturized replicated original artwork! The four CDs come in a cardboard slipcase and, as usual, in a limited edition of 300 copies each.

The second album “Rex”, released in 1986 on the Ink Records successor label Der Producerclum, took the intention of the debut album into new dimensions, resulting in an edgy masterpiece that was sometimes a bit ahead of its time. The re-release contains 20 songs including eight bonus tracks, including songs from the side projects “Fear of God” and “ID”. All tracks were remastered for this re-release by Tom Morgenstern in 2022, and there is also an additional interview booklet (in Japanese and English) in which the people involved at the time have their say!
