The title means roughly "cassette offenders," and the music is the loot: a clandestine vinyl compilation of the German home-taping underground of the early 1980s, the second volume in a small series begun in 2002. Every track here first surfaced on a self-dubbed cassette, passed by hand among a few hundred people and almost never heard abroad: stark minimal synth, synth-punk, and DIY electronic strangeness made in bedrooms between punk and the cheap home computer.
Pressed without authorization in a tiny edition, copies have always changed hands for steep sums. A keyhole onto one of the most private corners of German music. Unofficial, and unrepentant about it.
