Maninkari

2017 release **  In this new album—titled *L’Océan Rêve Dans Sa Loisiveté "second session"* and following the first chapter released in 2014—the soundscapes are incredibly ethereal and hypnotic. The material defies easy categorization, yet this is by no means a drawback; the beautiful atmospheres crafted by Maninkari immerse the listener in a mystical, otherworldly acoustic realm. Improvisation plays a central role, while the viola melodies—rich with ancient resonance—and the rhythms of the bodhrán transport us into a pleasant trance-like state from which we have no desire to emerge. Credit also goes to the arcane melodies of the Iranian santoor, which lends an unmistakable Eastern flair to the mix, alongside the cimbalom. This is magical music—rich in healing power and positive vibrations—capable of reconnecting you with your forgotten self. Amidst the sea of endless dark-ambient and electronic releases, listening to a Maninkari album is a true breath of fresh air. It feels like a heartfelt prayer whispered in silence within a room filled with mystical ecstasy. The CD comes in a beautiful Eco-Pak sleeve and is strictly limited to 300 copies.
