*250 copies limited edition* Canadian artist/composer Lance Austin Olsen, born in 1943, is active as an experimental music creator. In recent years, he has released "Coïncidence" (ftarri-964, 2022), a duo CD with French musician Bruno Duplant, on the Ftarri label, and the solo CD "The Pit" (hitorri-965, 2023), on the Hitorri label. Belgian improvisational musician and composer Pierre Gerard, born in 1966, energetically carries out musical creation in both solo work and collaborations with other musicians. "la montagne change le paysage" (ftarri-948), his duo CD with British harpist Rhodri Davies, was released on the Ftarri label in 2024.

This CD is a collaborative album by Lance Austin Olsen and Pierre Gerard, made up of three variations (three pieces of about 15 minutes each) on the work titled Mind Shadows. Olsen uses guitar, voice, MIDI organ, shruti box, field recordings and more, while Gerard uses electric guitar, sho, earthenware tea bowl, voice and adhesive paper tape. The diverse sounds are deftly constructed, and among them occasionally emerges languid (and sometimes singing-like) speaking, which creates singular accents.
