1982 LP on RCA's "Ciné Music" coupling two soundtracks with avant-garde and dramatic orchestral compositions for the films by Serge Moati (1976) and Claude Chabrol (1971). Never re-issued on either LP or CD.

Pierre Jansen was Claude Chabrol's composer for thirty films, the man who gave Le boucher and La femme infidèle their chill, a serious modernist working in genre cinema. This RCA LP pairs La décade prodigieuse (Chabrol, 1971, with Orson Welles and Anthony Perkins) and Nuit d'or (Serge Moati, 1976): dissonant, chamber-scaled, more Bartók than Bernard Herrmann.
Jansen's scores were rarely released on record and this is one of the few. French RCA pressing, original.
