2026 stock “Un’altra mano di carte” is the second album released by the band Limite Acque Sicure (Ferrara, Italy), two years after their debut. In this new album, the band explores a theme, a “concept”: through characters recounting their life experiences, they actually address highly topical social issues. Marginalization, oppression, and war are some of the themes that emerge from the stories contained in the six tracks. But in every story there is always a glimmer of hope, a small gesture of rebellion, a burst of pride that suggests the possibility of change.
“Another Hand of Cards” also represents the capriciousness of fate, the luck or misfortune of being born at a certain moment in history, in a certain place. But when the deck of cards is shuffled, destiny is set in motion again, hopes are rekindled, in anticipation of a better hand, luckier than the previous one. It is no coincidence that the characters associated with the songs are depicted on playing cards, precisely to represent how much fate influences their stories, and the stories of us all.
The theme of “difficult” lives stems from the artists’ personal sensitivity to social issues, which concern humanity and its place in the world. Limite Acque Sicure entrusts its compositions with a prompt for reflection for the listener, in the awareness that music must also serve this purpose.
