Last year I invited my friend Frederik, who sings in Bending Backwards, plays piano in some different jazz projects and reads 100 books a year to come by my apartment and record a tape for Afvikling. This is what came out of it. A half hour of truly virtuous yet very weird piano and organ Music, with sounds of construction work echoing through the open windows. For me a prime example of why you sometimes just shall let the tape run and let the magic happen by itself.

Wootton’s hardware processing of various sampling methods, plus guitar, bass guitar and clarinet, provides a counterpoint for Bianco’s experimental treatments of drum kit, bells, vibraphone and other percussion instruments. The result is foggy, dubbed out, glacial, free form compositions that defy categorization.
