Recordings from the first two Hellenic Weeks of Contemporary Music, the Athens festivals that brought the Greek avant-garde to light in the 1960s, issued in the Greek Composers series. Yannis A. Papaioannou sets Sophocles in Eros anikate machan (1965) for a cappella choir, and Michael Adamis uses vocal groups, a narrator and tape for the Apocalypse, 6th Seal (1967) on Saint John.
Theodore Antoniou's Six Likes (1967) is for solo tuba, and Nikos Mamangakis' Trittys (1966) mixes guitar, santouri, percussion, cello and double bass. The choirs of Thessaloniki University are conducted by Yannis Mantakas. With an eight-page booklet. This is a later EMI pressing.
