Diagonal / Maipú 994 / Epilogue / Paral.lel on Harmonia Mundi gathers chamber works where compositional rigor doesn't exclude a certain timbral sensuality.

The titles evoke geometries, addresses, formal devices. But the music breathes more than the labels suggest. Fénelon would later tackle opera with considerable success, a sign of interest in voice and drama that these instrumental pieces already intimate. The disc functions as laboratory, dress rehearsals for theaters yet to come. Harmonia Mundi's imprimatur granted visibility that smaller labels couldn't provide.
