The album features four key works that showcase De Pablo's evolution through serialism and aleatoric techniques. Iniciativas (1965/66): A powerful work for large orchestra that explores textural density and spatial relationships. Ejercicio para cuarteto (1965): A string quartet that experiments with open form, allowing performers certain choices within a structured framework. Módulos III (1967): Scored for 17 instruments, this piece is part of a series where de Pablo utilized modular structures to create varying "realizations" of the same musical material. Tombeau (1967/68): An orchestral lament that showcases de Pablo’s mature style, blending rigorous structure with expressive, often somber, textures.
