Sylvano Bussotti premiered La Passion Selon Sade in Palermo in 1965, a piece of music theatre built on sonnets by Louise Labé and on the figure of Sade, notated in his famously ornate graphic score, which leaves the performers wide latitude in how the material unfolds. The version here, for soprano and ensemble, was recorded by RAI at the Auditorium del Foro Italico in Rome on 6 February 1979.
Le Bal Mirò, from 1981, is for large orchestra and was recorded by RAI in the same hall in December 1986. Issued by Dischi Ricordi in 1987.
