Two romantic avant-garde compositions for large orchestra from 1972 and 1973 by the refined Italian composer performed by the NDR Sinfonieorchester conducted by Giuseppe Sinopoli and released on DGG in 1978. With insert. Never re-issued on either CD or LP.

condition (record/cover): M/EX (drill hole)

Insert included.

Two orchestral scores by Sylvano Bussotti from the early 1970s, when his writing turned openly theatrical and romantic. Bergkristall, commissioned by the NDR in Hamburg, is a ballet in one act and seven scenes after the story by Adalbert Stifter about two children lost on a glacier on Christmas Eve, and it runs for almost half an hour.

The Lorenzaccio-Symphonie is drawn from his melodrama on Musset's play. Giuseppe Sinopoli, himself a composer, leads the NDR Sinfonieorchester. Issued by Deutsche Grammophon in 1978 with a six-page insert including a commentary by Josef Häusler, and never reissued.
