The music of Sylvano Bussotti seems to achieve the squaring of the circle: in many ways radical, avant-garde, and innovative, it manifests, at the same time, an idea of beauty, with a strong sensual as well as personal side, not easily reconciled with the avant-garde movements of the 20th century.
