2025 stock. Five graphic scores realised at the organ by Zsigmond Szathmáry, the Hungarian organist and composer, as improvisations: music that exists first as drawing and only becomes sound when a performer decides how to read it.

The programme brings together Roman Haubenstock-Ramati's 'Ohne Titel', John Cage's Music for Carillon No. 5, Shin-ichi Matsushita's Konzentration, Michael Vetter's Der Kreis and Szathmáry's own Omaggio a György Ligeti, so that the organ moves from clusters and long held sounds to sparse, almost pointillist gestures.

As the original notes put it: are we now in a position to experience within ourselves every kind of music as a harmonious system? In that case there would be only one music existing independent of the composer and the notation, and the responsibility for the music would have shifted not only from the composer to the performer, but further still to the listener. The person who listens to this record will have to decide. Total time 50'44".
