Art Blakey, Freddie Hubbard, Johnny Griffin, Curtis Fuller, Kenny Burrell, Jimmy Smith, Stanley Turrentine, Lou Donaldson, Reggie Workman, Grover Washington: the label's own history assembled on one stage and playing the book. Reunion concerts are usually sad. This one is not, largely because these were working musicians who had never stopped, and because the material had lost none of its charge.
