Rare original second LP of exstatic ragas by La Monte Young and Terry Riley's teacher. Later pressing (circa 1973) with grey labels.

** condition: NM/EX-  ** Later pressing (1973/1974) of the original edition with gatefold sleeve designed by Marian Zazeela with her distinctive calligraphy of the second album by the master Indian musician Pandit Pran Nath, a very influential figure, and teacher, for several American musician including most famously La Monte Young (who produced and recorded this album in his New York studio and played tambura on it) and Terry Riley, but also Jon Hassell, Don Cherry, Lee Konitz, Jon Gibson, Rhys Chatham, Michael Harrison, Christer Hennix, Henry Flynt, Simone Forti among others. Two superb trance-inducing ragas performed by the master vocalist with Young and Shyam Bhatnagar on tamburas and Fayyaz Khan on tabla.
