Albert Ayler with Call Cobbs - his old partner from the spirituals sessions - and Mary Maria, in front of an audience that received him like the major artist America never quite admitted he was. Farewell music, whether he knew it or not, and impossible to forget once heard. Volume 2 completes the picture that Volume 1 opens. The Shandar originals remain the versions with the deepest aura - this is one of them.
