Nicholas Bussmann was born in 1970 and is a very diversified artist. He first made a name for himself in the real-time music scene as an improvisational instrumentalist, then he devoted himself to electronic music and now he moves quite freely between artistic styles. His works are usually highly praised and are mostly part of exhibitions or other types of total artworks.

The News Triology fills the first page of this work and is thus the first part of this extraordinary project released on vinyl. With different vocal ensembles as well as the Shanghai News Choir and the Cottbusser Choir improvised vocal compositions were performed, which consist of news from different newspapers and in different languages. Experimental but classical choral singing as well as spoken and shouted voices were used. The magic or the interesting thing for me is when really songs of different cultures (e.g. classical European singing and African singing) collide.

Revolution Songs in an AI Environment forms the second part with seven short pieces. This one is designed quite differently, because it consists of pure piano compositions, which lie between Contemporary and Modern Classical. This holds about 20 minutes of interesting piano music. This provides a good contrast to the first side. Playfully, there is a great performance here and the sound is equally remarkable.
