Clear vinyl. One of three different sleeve variations, hand-numbered (43/50).
The release features two distinct avant-garde works that bridge early Fluxus experiments with later collaborative multimedia performances. Anagram for Strings (1961): A graphic score published by George Maciunas in 1963. It replaces traditional musical notation with a "constellation" of dots and circles. Performers create an improvisational soundscape by drawing lines across the score and using arithmetic to determine glissando lengths. Geography & Music (1979): A piece originally created for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company. The recording on this release features legendary avant-garde figures including John Cage, David Tudor, and Takehisa Kosugi.
