Another copy of Coltranology Volume Two, Japanese Affinity pressing - because live classic-quartet material never sits in the racks for long, and we have learned to stock accordingly. John Coltrane in the raw concert form that the studio albums only hint at: pieces doubled and tripled in length, solos that build through plateau after plateau, a band operating on collective instinct sharpened by hundreds of nights together. The bootleg-era live records have their own honest romance - imperfect sound, perfect music - and this series wears it well. Completists know exactly why these matter. Second copy, same essential contents.
