Three 1970s documentary soundtracks by Waldemar Parzyński, jazz singer and co-founder of Novi Singers: an inventively arranged orchestra with distorted guitars, baroque Hammond organ and sonoristic experiments. Remastered from original tapes.

A legend of Polish jazz singing and one of the founders of Novi Singers in a completely different role. Remarkable 1970s film music full of Hammond organ, strings, guitars and unsettling reverbs. An absolute sensation.

Waldemar Parzyński's artistic path spans several decades filled with numerous recordings (including the cult Novi Sings Chopin), songwriting for other performers and supervising the music of television talent shows (Idol, Jak oni śpiewają). It also includes a fascinating career in incidental music, covering feature films, television productions, animation and documentaries. Pejzaż polski collects recordings from the last of these: three 1970s soundtracks in which an imaginatively arranged orchestra meets distorted guitars, baroque Hammond organ ornaments and sonoristic experiments. For fans of 1970s Polish film music, essential.

The recordings were remastered from the original tapes in the archive of the Documentary and Feature Film Studio (Wytwórnia Filmów Dokumentalnych i Fabularnych) in Warsaw, and the booklet carries a short essay on the composer and the music. The three soundtracks, Huta Katowice, Pejzaż polski and Wszystkie moje dzieci, are performed by a band and orchestra conducted by Parzyński.
