Tip! Last autumn, Ni Vu Ni Connu released Fagaschinski's debut album as a sole composer, entitled Aerodynamics. The double LP features two large-scale clarinet ensemble pieces: an octet composition performed by The Paranormal Clarinet Society and a nonet multitrack conception. The 2-LP set comes housed in a gorgeous gatefold jacket and includes a booklet with extensive liner notes, photos and scores – a true feast for the eyes and ears.

The follow up and continuation of this mission arrives less than a year later and everything is a little bit smaller this time around. The new album features just one composition on a single album, written for four clarinets only, with a quadrupled Fagaschinski as the sole performer - and it's a CD! Well, enough of small talking here, the music is quite a lush sonic offering and well worth sacrificing 33 1/3 minutes of your lifetime for a devoted listening session. The piece unfolds at a slow pace as a delicate, psychedelic ride spiked with psychoacoustic delights, rich harmonics, and some unapologetic melodies. The CD sleeve is an eye-catcher, too, featuring another stunning cover image from a photo series by Nathalie Snel (who also shot the cover photo for Aerodynamics). Hannah Arendt, as well as the state of the world, inspired the title of the piece: The Evil of Banality.
